Funeral services for Bernice M. Kindschuh age 82 of Wisner, NE will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner and will continue on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Bernice passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Wisner Care Center.

Bernice Minnie Natalie Kindschuh was born on August 5, 1934 at home in Pilger, NE, the daughter of Richard and Hildegard (Daum) Dreyer. She was baptized on August 12, 1934 at home in Pilger, NE and later confirmed on May 16, 1948 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE.

She attended District #34 and Wisner High School. She was married on September 28, 1951 to Keith Kindschuh at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner, NE. They later divorced.

Bernice was employed during her life at Geno’s El Ranco, Pilger, NE, Wisner News Chronicle, Wisner, NE, Great Plains Communication, Blair, NE, John Thor Law Office, Wisner, NE, and Wisner-Pilger Elementary School in Wisner, NE.

Bernice loved cooking, canning, sewing, crafts, collection Nativity sets and angels, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Wisner Senior Center Board for many years.

She is survived by her children-Roxanne (Barry) Meyer of Wisner, NE, Randy (Deb) Kindschuh of Wentzville, MO, Rod (Kristi) Kindschuh of Thornton, CO, and Royce (Gabriela) Kindschuh of Olathe, KS; Grandchildren-Kandi (Dan) Junior of Elkhorn, NE, Brandi Waterman of Wisner, NE, Kiley Meyer of Wisner, NE, Kasey (Josh) Hopwood of Shelby, NE, Hilary (Andy) Misle of Lincoln, NE, Tate (Shayna) Kindschuh of Alamosa, CO, Desarae (David) Barworth of Phoenix, AZ, Tyler (Heidi) Kindschuh of Littleton, CO, and Giuliano Kindschuh of Olathe, KS; Great Grandchildren- Alec Sanger, Isabel Junior, Sophi Junior of Elkhorn, NE, Kyan Hass of Lincoln, NE, Hunter Waterman and Aspin Waterman of Wisner, NE, Allissa Meyer, Ashton Meyer, Ariel Meyer, Kaleb Meyer and Adison Meyer of Wisner, NE, Hayden Hopwood and Hudson Hopwood of Shelby, NE, and Katelyn Barworth of Phoenix, AZ; Sister-in-laws-Rosalyn Kindschuh of Wisner, NE, Bev Kindschuh of Norfolk, NE, Karen Dreyer of Wisner, NE and many nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents-Richard and Hildegard Dreyer, brother-Burnell Dreyer, and brother-in-laws-Don Kindschuh and Marv Kindschuh.
