Vigil services for James Schuetze age 34 of West Point, NE will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

James passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at his residence.

James Taylor Schuetze was born on October 28, 1981 at West Point, NE to Jan and Mary (Spenner) Schuetze. He attended Guardian Angels School and Central Catholic High School before completing his GED in 2000. James received his Associates Degree in Business from Northeast Community College and was working on his Bachelor’s Degree.

James loved to travel, whether it was Maine for lobster or California to surf and all points in-between. He was his own “Dreamcatcher”, collecting unique items that he treasured. James could visit with anyone and had an unconditional acceptance to everyone he came into contact with. Family was his priority, but his boys were the center of his world.

Survivors include-
His sons- James Dean Schuetze and Jayce Alexander Schuetze
Parents- Jan and Mary Schuetze of West Point, NE
Brother- Jeff Schuetze of Oklahoma City, OK
Paternal Grandmother- LaVanda Schuetze of West Point, NE
Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive James.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents-Henry and Eleanor Spenner, paternal grandfather-Leonard Schuetze and an uncle-Fr. Wilfred Spenner.
